To understand the Outside Lands @ Home experience, we should start off by telling you about the Outside Lands 'Pavilion.'
On the grounds of the Outside Lands Festival at Golden Gate Park (August 22nd thru 24th) will be a huge, tented pavilion where festival goers will be able to take a break, hang out, get a drink, and participate in cool activities.
In the middle of the pavilion will be a physical 'CrowdFire' presence that will feature large LCD screens displaying photos, videos and text submitted by festival attendees through their digital cameras, camera phones, smartphones, iPhones, etc., either through wireless connections, or special kiosks located in the pavilion.
On hand will be special CrowdFire DJ's combing these submissions for the best content and 'mixing' them for display on the big screens for all to see.
Outside Lands @ Home is our way to bring the content being displayed on these screens to those fans at home who aren't able to attend the festival. It's also for those folks who attend the festival and want to relive the experience through special curations that will be posted on the CrowdFire Web site after the festival.
Even if you can't attend the festival, you can still contribute to the CrowdFire pavilion experience. If you want to upload any content before or during the festival for the CrowdFire DJs to consider displaying on the big screens, you can get started by uploading your content now (requires a quick, free registration).
