About me

I’m a time freezer focusing on the moment waiting to create the ultimate decisive moment. I used to say I was a Doctor of Silver. Silver being the most valuable component of film manufacturing. But with film being dead, there is no more silver or chemicals involved. Better for the environment, but not so good for Kodak.

Now I am Doctor of Time and Space, living in the moment to capture it for all to see.

My subject matter is constantly shifting. One day I could be on a video for Disney’s latest teen sensation, jetting to Aspen to cover a comedy festival, flying to NYC to shoot the Rock Hall Inductions or driving an RV to Manchester, Tennessee to shoot the Bonnaroo Music Festival.

My schedule is never the same twice, the people I work with are always changing and ultimately, I shoot what I want, where I want. I realize life is business and you have to get it while the getting is good. I shoot a lot of things I don’t care about, but always manage to get a set of photos that make the time out shooting worth it.

I have always gotten the best access possible. In my early years I was working for Rolling Stone, People and US Magazine’s covering assignments all over LA, and it’s only gotten bigger and better ever since.

Although photography is my job, I do not define myself by what I do for a living. My life is an always shifting landscape and when my time is up, photography is just one of the aspects of my life that will be remembered.
